Joshua J. Wilson serves as our Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our board of directors. Mr. Wilson has also served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President for our business since April 2016 to drive marketing, technology, production and product management for our business prior to this offering, after previously serving as the Vice President of Product and Operations, Vice President of Product and Executive Director Social Gaming Products. From June 2012 to December 2013, Mr. Wilson was Senior Director of Social Products and Director of Social Gaming for WMS, which was acquired by Scientific Games in 2013, overseeing web development, analytics and road mapping while creating a business intelligence system and launching our social casino games Jackpot Party Casino and Gold Fish Casino. Mr. Wilson served with Phantom EFX, LLC from March 2001 to June of 2012, when Phantom was acquired by WMS, as the Director of Online Gaming and Engineering Supervisor. We believe Mr. Wilson is qualified to serve on our board of directors because of his experience and knowledge of our company and our industry.
Aaron is our Founder and Chief Gamer at SciPlay. Mr. Schurman is the founder of Phantom EFX where he spent over 15 years as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Schurman led Phantom to become #1 publisher of Family Entertainment games in North America as well as having early titles on the Apple App Store. The early success in mobile led to the acquisition of Phantom EFX by WMS and subsequently Scientific Games in 2012.
From June 2012 – March 2019 Mr. Schurman was the Managing Director of the Social unit. During this time, Mr. Schurman has been key in helping grow the division grow to over 400 passionate individuals and seven successful franchise apps.
Aaron has designed over 500 slots with many patents in the gaming space. He has designed over 50 individual game titles with an impressive rate of successes. Today, Mr. Schurman continues to lead SciPlay’s design efforts captivating players through many aspects. ‘Shurm’ as colleagues often call him, is our rocket fuel behind our unmatched culture and self-authored leadership programs.
Mr. Schurman has a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Northern Iowa.
Michael D. Cody serves as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Cody has also served as Chief Financial Officer for our business since September 2015, providing both operational and financial support to the business and assisting on strategic and tactical matters. Prior to joining Scientific Games in 2015, Mr. Cody served at Churchill Downs Interactive as Vice President, Finance from October 2006 through July 2014 and then as Vice President Operations from July 2014 through September 2015. Mr. Cody previously served as Vice President, Finance for Arlington Park for six years. Mr. Cody holds an M.B.A. from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and graduated with a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Forrest Stowe, Chief Technology Officer, oversees all major technology decisions for the company, sets the technology road map and helps drive business decisions. Additionally, Mr. Stowe partners with engineering directors globally across studios to define and enforce software development best practices. He also oversees the Dev Ops team that is responsible for operating and maintaining a high availability, highly scalable server infrastructure, which is the backbone of all social products. Mr. Stowe has been in the game industry for almost two decades. Prior to his role as CTO, Mr. Stowe served in a variety of technical positions including client, server, and engine development, database management, dev ops, and math. He holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Northern Iowa.
Destry Davison, Chief Studios Officer, oversees production operations of our worldwide development studios. In this role he takes a hands-on approach, working closely with all levels of product development to build cohesive teams and the highest quality games. His practice is to balance the creative passion of the development teams along with the needs of the consumer to ultimately align with the business goals of the company. Mr. Davison has been in the computer graphics and gaming industry for 22 years and more recently focused in the social gaming space for the last 8 years. He comes from a diverse background of companies such as EDS, Publicis Healthcare, Electronic Arts, and Zynga.
Noga Halperin serves as the Global Chief Marketing Officer, providing creative and strategic leadership in the development of new marketing tools and channels for SciPlay. Her marketing experience spans over two decades and she holds deep expertise in the competitive and dynamic nature of the gaming industry. Prior to joining Scientific Games in 2015, Mrs. Halperin served at Playtika as Director of Marketing in charge of Playtika’s flagship game, Slotomania. Mrs. Halperin holds a B.A. in Psychology and Management and an M.B.A. in Marketing from The Interdisciplinary Center.
Jim Thompson serves as the Chief Business Officer for SciPlay. Mr. Thompson works closely with all levels of management along with the finance team to drive the company’s growth initiatives, business development, business and financial targets. Jim has 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, Jim joined the SciPlay family through the WMS Industries acquisition of his company Phantom EFX in 2012. As President of Phantom EFX, Jim built a first-class sales, manufacturing and distribution system from start-up in 2000 to a leading casual games publisher. Jim attended the University of Northern Iowa.
Ehud Barlach serves as Chief Product Officer and oversees the Product Management discipline at SciPlay. Mr. Barlach brings more than 10 years of experience in the gaming. industry where he has focused on product development, new title launches, analytics, team building, and product management as a whole. In his role, Mr. Barlach works closely with all game teams in order to build long-lasting products that scale and grow over time while meeting the company’s business goals. Additionally, he partners with the product leads in order to define and build roadmaps, product optimization initiatives and deep analytics abilities, constantly striving to improve the products’ performance and potential. Prior to SciPlay Ehud worked at Scopely where he was VP of Product and Studio GM for the Dice franchise. Prior to that he worked at Zynga as a GM of Hit It Rich! Slot Machines, one of Zynga’s biggest casino games. He holds BSC degrees in Industrial Engineering and Information Systems.
Danny Moy serves as the Chief Strategy Officer and oversees the Business Development discipline at SciPlay.
Danny brings with him nearly 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, business development, strategy and operations. In this role for SciPlay, Danny oversees our business development team and works with company and client leadership to identify new business opportunities, drive the strategic planning process and oversee corporate strategy.
Born and raised in the Big Apple, Danny also attended college in New York City. Danny started his professional career in M&A investment banking and private equity before moving to the Bay Area in California to work in tech and games. Danny led business operations & strategy and operations finance for several large business units and properties at Yahoo! from 2004-2009. Danny then rediscovered his childhood passion for games while leading strategic partnerships & operations at Zynga from 2009-2012. Danny then went on to build and lead several different business, growth, international and studio & game operations at King from 2012-2019 where it became the #1 casual puzzle game company worldwide. Most recently, Danny comes to us from PLAYSTUDIOS where he was supporting them on business development & strategic partnerships, corporate development and M&A, advertising monetization, growth & user acquisition, publishing and product leader on a mobile social casino game.
Robert W. Gustafson serves as our General Counsel. Mr. Gustafson has supported our business, as well as the online activities of Bally Gaming, Inc. and Shuffle Master, Inc., since 2012 as Deputy General Counsel – Social and Assistant General Counsel. Prior to 2012, Mr. Gustafson had a long career in the video game industry, beginning in early 2000 with Midway Games Inc., serving as Licensing counsel from 2000 – 2003, Senior Counsel from 2004 – 2006, and Director, Business Affairs from 2006 – 2009. Following his positions at Midway Games, Mr. Gustafson then joined Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment as Director, Business and Legal Affairs from 2009 until 2012. Before joining the video game industry, Mr. Gustafson served as an associate at Jenner and Block. Mr. Gustafson holds a JD from the John Marshall Law School and a B.S.M.E. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Kimber Dall, VP of People Operations, has been with the social gaming division since January 2015, partnering with the senior executive team to implement company objectives through HR functions and strategic planning. Mrs. Dall oversees a team of HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Specialists who support the 450+ global social gaming employees on HR and Talent initiatives. Together they serve as internal business partners to managers and employees across the company, establishing strong relationships to drive positive employee relations and engagement all while fostering a culture of inclusiveness, passion and fun.
Prior to joining Scientific Games in 2015, Mrs. Dall served as a HR and Recruitment consultant for Digital Brinq from 2012-2014. Mrs. Dall also previously worked for Target Corporation in a variety of HR roles from 2006-2012. She holds a BA degree in Social Science from Upper Iowa University.
Barry L. Cottle serves as our Executive Chairman. Mr. Cottle has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Scientific Games Corporation since June 2018. Mr. Cottle joined Scientific Games Corporation as Chief Executive, SG Interactive, in August 2015 to lead the strategy and growth plans of the Interactive group. Before joining Scientific Games Corporation, Mr. Cottle served as Vice Chairman of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc. from February 2015 until August 2015 while concurrently serving as Senior Vice President of Technology at MacAndrews & Forbes Incorporated from February 2015 until August 2017, where he helped drive digital innovation. Prior to that, he was the Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President—Games for Zynga Inc. from January 2012 until October 2014, where he led corporate and business development, strategic partnerships, distribution, marketing and advertising and ultimately the Social Casino group. Previously, Mr. Cottle served as the Executive Vice President— Interactive for Electronic Arts Inc. from August 2007 to January 2012. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cottle served as the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Quickoffice, Inc.; Chief Operating Officer of Palm, Inc.; and Senior Vice President of Disney TeleVentures, a division of The Walt Disney Company dedicated to creating interactive online/TV experiences. Mr. Cottle holds a B.S., summa cum laude from Missouri State University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management. We believe Mr. Cottle is qualified to serve on our board of directors because of his experience with our business and our industry, and the positions he holds at Scientific Games.
Michael F. Winterscheidt serves as our Chief Accounting Officer and Secretary. Mr. Winterscheidt has also served as Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer of Scientific Games since February 2019. From February 2017 to February 2019, he served as Chief Accounting Officer of Scientific Games, and from July 2016 to February 2017, as its Vice President and Corporate Controller. Prior to joining Scientific Games, Mr. Winterscheidt served at Caesars Entertainment Corporation from October 2014 through July 2016, ending his tenure as Vice President and Corporate Controller. Prior to that, he had leadership roles leading the corporate accounting and financial reporting organizations of Delta Airlines, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation. He was previously a manager in the audit practice of the global accounting firm of Arthur Andersen LLP. Mr. Winterscheidt holds a B.A. and an M.P.A. both in accounting from Mississippi State University.
